Shingle Maker Says Class Allegations Are Frivolous, Not Suitable For Certification

Mealey's (May 5, 2016, 12:17 PM EDT) -- TRENTON, N.J. — The Canadian manufacturer of eastern-white-cedar shingles that are allegedly defective says in an April 27 opposition brief filed in New Jersey federal court that a proposed class’s allegations are factually and legally frivolous and that their request for class certification should be denied because individual issues predominate classwide issues (Ilene Stern, et al. v. Maibec Inc., No. 11-03951, D. N.J.).
