4th Circuit: Casino Table Game Trainees May Proceed With Wage Claims
(May 3, 2016, 3:21 PM EDT) -- RICHMOND, Va. — A Fourth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel on April 25 reinstated a class complaint filed by three individuals who are seeking unpaid wages for the time they spent training to become table games dealers for a Maryland casino (Claudia Harbourt, et al. v. PPE Casino Resorts Maryland, LLC, No. 15-1546, 4th Cir.; 2016 U.S. App. LEXIS 7415).
