Wisconsin Governor Signs Bill Protecting Large Franchisors

(May 1, 2016, 10:24 PM EDT) -- MADISON, Wis. — Republican Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker on March 1 signed into law an act excluding certain franchisors from being considered employers of franchisees (2015 Wisconsin Act 203).

Wisconsin Act 203 helps to protect fast food restaurants by preventing courts from following the National Labor Relations Board’s attempts to make large food corporations more liable for activities by its franchisees.
