U.S. Supreme Court Rejects Dickey’s Barbecue Petition For Certiorari

(April 29, 2016, 1:07 AM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Supreme Court on April 18 denied Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants Inc.’s petition for writ of certiorari in a case in which Dickey’s asserted that it was “forced to” include a prohibition of arbitration clause in a franchise agreement by a Maryland regulator as a condition of doing business in the state (Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants Inc., et al. v. Chorley Enterprises Inc., et al., No. 15-719, U.S. Sup.; 2016 U.S. LEXIS 2563).
