California Appeals Court Says Water Supply Contract Doesn’t Expire

(April 28, 2016, 12:33 PM EDT) -- LOS ANGELES — A California appeals court on April 21 affirmed that a water supply agreement between a city and a nearby water district was not intended to expire after the initial 35-year term of the contract (North Kern Water Storage District v. City of Bakersfield, No. B260065, Calif. App., 2nd Dist., Div. 6; 2016 Cal. App. Unpub. LEXIS 2828).
