Split 8th Circuit Panel Upholds Rejection Of Rec Board Worker’s Speech Claims

Mealey's (April 27, 2016, 1:29 PM EDT) -- ST. PAUL, Minn. — A divided Eighth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel on April 25 upheld a district court’s rejection of federal claims filed by a municipal employee who alleged that she was retaliated against after two instances of speaking out about various concerns (Cynthia Wilson v. Jayne Miller, individually and in her official capacity as Minneapolis Park and Recreation Superintendent, et al., No. 15-1415, 8th Cir.; 2016 U.S. App. LEXIS 7401).
