Brazilian Insurer Says Reinsurer’s Motion To Enforce Judgment Is Premature
Mealey's (April 27, 2016, 11:17 AM EDT) -- NEW YORK — A Brazilian insurer told a federal court in New York on April 22 that its reinsurer’s request that the court enforce a judgment confirming a number of arbitration awards is premature and should be dismissed or stayed pending the insurer’s appeal of the judgment (National Indemnity Company v. IRB Brasil Resseguros S.A., No. 15-cv-03975, S.D. N.Y.).
