EPA Extends Deadline For Comment On Fracking Wastewater Disposal

Mealey's (June 18, 2015, 11:49 AM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on June 1 issued an extension to the comment period regarding its guidelines to protect the operational integrity of publicly owned treatment works (POTWs) by establishing pretreatment standards that would prevent the discharge of pollutants in wastewater from onshore hydraulic fracturing facilities.
