State Judge Will Not Dismiss Sandy Hook Shooting Suit

(April 25, 2016, 10:17 AM EDT) -- BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A state judge in Connecticut on April 14 refused to dismiss a lawsuit against a gun store, the store’s owner, a gun manufacturer and its holding company brought by the surviving family members of those killed and survivors of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, saying that any immunity the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) “may provide does not implicate the court’s subject matter jurisdiction over the case” (Donna L.
