Couple Adds Claim For Punitive Damages To Fracking Lease Dispute Lawsuit

Mealey's (June 18, 2015, 11:31 AM EDT) -- CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A landowner couple engaged in a hydraulic fracturing lease dispute on May 27 filed an amended complaint adding claims for unjust enrichment, violation of West Virginia law and punitive damages (Larry Barr, et al. v. EQT Production Company, No. 14-57, N.D. W.Va.).

Larry and Elva Barr are landowners who entered into a lease with EQT Production Co. under which the company would conduct oil and gas exploration on a parcel of land owned by the Barrs.
