Environmental Group, Agencies Reach Deal On Gulf Of Mexico Fracking Permits

Mealey's (June 18, 2015, 11:30 AM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Center for Biological Diversity (CBD) and the U.S. Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) and Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) on June 2 announced that they had reached a settlement agreement regarding the CBD’s requests under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) pertaining to the details of when and how much hydraulic fracturing has occurred in the Gulf of Mexico (Center for Biological Diversity v. Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, et al., No. 15-22, D. D.C.).
