Wyoming, Colorado: Injunction Needed To Prevent Fracking Rule Being Implemented

Mealey's (June 18, 2015, 11:25 AM EDT) -- CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The States of Wyoming and Colorado, which are suing the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) contending that its new federal regulations concerning hydraulic fracturing should not be implemented, on May 29 moved in Wyoming federal court for a preliminary injunction to prevent the implementation of the regulations on grounds that they are “in excess” of the agency’s statutory authority and are “arbitrary, capricious, an abuse of discretion, or otherwise not in accordance with law” (State of Wyoming v. U.S. Department of the Interior, et al., No. 15-00043, D. Wyo.)....
