Business Records Covered Under Policy’s Special Limits Of Liability, Panel Says

Mealey's (April 19, 2016, 11:22 AM EDT) -- CHICAGO — A trial court did not err in concluding that additional coverage is not owed under a homeowners policy for business records damaged as a result of water because the business records were covered under the policy’s special limits of liability, which is capped at $2,500, the First District Illinois Appellate Court said March 24 (Kenneth Neiman et al. v. Farmers Automobile Insurance Association et al., No. 1-15-0302, Ill. App., 1st Dist., 4th Div.; 2016 Ill. App. Unpub. LEXIS 524).
