Magistrate: Dismissal Order Not Certified In Case Of Water Tainted By Fracking
Mealey's (June 18, 2015, 11:00 AM EDT) -- HARRISBURG, Pa. — A federal magistrate judge in Pennsylvania on May 1 refused to certify the order of dismissal in a case brought by residents who contended that a fracking company contaminated their drinking water, ruling that “the extraordinarily close relationship” of adjudicated and unadjudicated claims “cautions” against it (Nolen Scott Ely v. Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation, No. 09-2284, M.D. Pa.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 57267).
