(April 13, 2016, 2:18 PM EDT) -- ATLANTA — A federal district court erred in dismissing a securities class action complaint because the lead plaintiff had properly pleaded an actionable misstatement and scienter in making his federal securities law claims against a drug company and certain of its executive officers and directors, the investor argues in a March 21 appellant brief filed in the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals (Glyn Hotz v. Galectin Therapeutics Inc., et al., No. 16-10324, 11th Cir.).
