Contra Costa, California Sign Pact To Address WaterFix Concerns

(April 13, 2016, 12:14 PM EDT) -- SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The California Department of Water Resources and the Contra Costa Water District on March 24 entered into a water quality agreement in the event that the California WaterFix project is built (“Agreement for Mitigation of Impacts to Contra Costa Water District from Construction and Operation of Bay Delta Conservation Plan/California WaterFix”).

Under the agreement, if the WaterFix project becomes operational, the department will deliver a portion of the district’s water supply from a new source on the Sacramento River....
