Florida Federal Judge Orders Arbitration In Cruise Line Injury Case

(April 12, 2016, 9:22 PM EDT) -- MIAMI — A Florida federal judge on April 5 granted Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.’s (RCCL) motion to compel arbitration in a case in which a former seaman in its employ claims he injured his back while serving on a cruise ship (Brian Leighton v. Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD., No 1:16-cv-20507, S.D. Fla.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 46027).
