Nevada Supreme Court Affirms Vested Water Right For Downstream Property

(April 11, 2016, 2:50 PM EDT) -- CARSON CITY, Nev. — A Nevada Supreme Court panel on April 7 affirmed a ruling by the state engineer that a property has a vested right to water from an unnamed stream, despite the objections of one upstream water right holder (Jerald R. Jackson, et al. v. Edward h. Groenendyke, et al., No. 67289, Nev. Sup.; 2016 Nev. LEXIS 272).
