Former Football Player Files Proposed Class Suit Against NFL
Mealey's (April 11, 2016, 8:38 AM EDT) -- FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A former National Football League player filed a proposed class action against the NFL in federal court in Florida on March 25, alleging that the league covered up the dangers of concussions players sustained from playing football and later denied the link between head contact and the development of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) (Tracy Scroggins v. National Football League, Inc. No. 0:15-cv-60644, S.D. Fla., Fort Lauderdale Div.).
