NFL Tells 3rd Circuit CTE Statements Are Not Relevant

(April 11, 2016, 8:29 AM EDT) -- PHILADELPHIA — The National Football League Inc. (NFL) on March 25 told the Third Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals that recent statements made by the league’s vice president of player health and safety about the links between playing football and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) are not relevant to the ongoing appeal of a settlement between the league and its former players (In re: NFL Players Concussion Injury Litigation, Nos. 15-2206, et al., 3rd Cir.).
