Seattle Opposes ILA’s Petition Seeking Review Of City Wage Law Ruling

(April 7, 2016, 4:31 PM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The City of Seattle on March 30 filed a brief opposing a petition for writ of certiorari the International Franchise Association (IFA) filed asking the U.S. Supreme Court to hear its appeal of a Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals ruling tossing out its challenge to part of the city’s law to increase the minimum wage to $15 (International Franchise Association, et al. v. City of Seattle, et al., No. 15-958, U.S. Sup.; 2016 U.S. S. Ct. Briefs LEXIS 1481).
