BP Supervisor Sentenced To Probation For Violating Clean Water Act

(April 7, 2016, 10:48 AM EDT) -- NEW ORLEANS — A federal judge in Louisiana on April 6 sentenced a BP Exploration & Production Inc. supervisor who was on board the Deepwater Horizon oil rig to 10 months of probation for violating the Clean Water Act (CWA), the U.S. Department of Justice announced (United States of America v. Robert Kaluza, No. 12-cr-00265, E.D. La.).

U.S. Judge Stanwood R. Duval Jr. of the Eastern District of Louisiana also ordered Donald Vidrine to perform 100 hours of community service and pay $50,000 in restitution....
