Medical Evidence Did Not Show Functional Impairment, Arkansas Federal Judge Says
(April 7, 2016, 10:07 AM EDT) -- EL DORADO, Ark. — A disability insurer did not abuse its discretion in denying a claim for long-term disability (LTD) benefits because the objective medical evidence did not prove that the claimant had any functional impairment, an Arkansas federal judge said March 31 (Vitina Ganter v. Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada, et al., No. 14-1064, W.D. Ark.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 43649).
