Judge Denies Fees, Expenses To Municipal Agency That Won Fracking Lease Dispute

(April 7, 2016, 9:27 AM EDT) -- COLUMBUS, Ohio — A federal judge in Ohio who dismissed a lawsuit brought by residents who contended that a watershed conservancy district improperly entered into hydraulic fracturing leases involving state lands on April 5 denied the conservancy’s motion for attorney fees (United States of America, ex rel. Leatra Harper, et al. v. Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District, No. 13-2145, N.D. Ohio; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 45955).
