Deferred Prosecution Agreement For Biomet Will Continue, Company Reports

(April 5, 2016, 7:36 AM EDT) -- WARSAW, Ind. — Zimmer Biomet Holding Inc. on March 25 said a deferred prosecution agreement (DPA) it entered into in 2012 will not conclude as scheduled March 26 as the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission continue to investigate the company’s alleged misconduct in Brazil and Mexico and the company’s corporate compliance program.

Zimmer Biomet made the announcement in a Form 8-K report filed with the SEC.
