Florida To 11th Circuit: Firearm Privacy Act Is Constitutional, Targeted

Mealey's (March 31, 2016, 2:19 PM EDT) -- ATLANTA — In a March 28 brief before the en banc 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, the State of Florida argues that a physician group’s lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of Florida’s Firearm Owners Privacy Act (FOPA) is not ripe and that the plaintiffs lack standing under Article III of the U.S. Constitution (Dr. Bernd Wollschlaeger, et al. v. Governor of the State of Florida, et al., No. 12-14009, 11th Cir.).
