Judge Adopts Report Dismissing ACA Discrimination Claims, Permits Amendment

(March 29, 2016, 12:25 PM EDT) -- ST. PAUL, Minn. — A prisoner’s allegations that various state officials violated the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) by discriminating against him based on his celiac disease were untimely, but he may amend his complaint in an effort to support them, a federal judge Minnesota held in adopting a magistrate’s report March 2 (Leonard J. Richards v. State of Minnesota, et al., No. 13-3029, D. Minn.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 27912).
