Groups: Federal Land Agency Violated Law By Approving Fracking Permits
Mealey's (June 18, 2015, 10:01 AM EDT) -- ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A collection of environmental groups on March 11 filed a lawsuit against two federal land management agencies in New Mexico federal court, seeking declaratory judgment and injunctive relief opposing the agencies’ decisions to approve 130 applications for permits to conduct hydraulic fracturing drilling operations (Dine Citizens Against Ruining Our Environment, et al. v. Sally Jewell, et al., No. 15-209, D. N.M.).
