Judge: Fracking Leaseholders Adequately Plead Conspiracy For Withheld Payments
(March 25, 2016, 2:57 PM EDT) -- COLUMBUS, Ohio — A federal judge in Ohio on March 23 said that a group of residents who hold leases for hydraulic fracturing royalties had adequately pleaded federal claims for conspiracy in connection with payments that were withheld by the company in violation of the contracts between the parties (Linda Kovach v. Access Midstream Partners, No. 15-616, N.D. Ohio; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 37882).
