Mississippi Jury Awards $1.03 Million In Drilling Mud Asbestosis Case

(March 24, 2016, 1:43 PM EDT) -- FAYETTE, Miss. — A Mississippi jury on Feb. 24 awarded a man suffering from asbestosis $1,036,000, including punitive damages, in a drilling mud case against Union Carbide Corp. (James Ray McManus v. Phillips 66 Co., et al., No. 2006-20, Miss. Cir., Jefferson Co.).
