United States Gets Extension To Account For Tribe’s Gas, Oil Royalties

Mealey's (March 16, 2016, 10:53 AM EDT) -- TULSA, Okla. — An Oklahoma federal judge on March 11 gave the United States more time to provide a 13-year accounting of an Indian tribe’s mineral rights trust to a class of rights-holders seeking evidence showing that the government has paid trust distributions to ineligible recipients, thereby diminishing the rights-holders’ pro rata share (William S. Fletcher, et al. v. The United States of America, et al., No. 02-cv-427, N.D. Okla.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 31570).
