Federal Judge Issues Attorney Fee Award In Beastie Boys Copyright Case

(March 11, 2016, 12:33 PM EST) -- NEW YORK — A copyright infringement plaintiff was ordered March 9 by a New York federal judge to pay $825,944 in attorney fees to the remaining members of The Beastie Boys as well as the band’s record labels (TufAmerica Inc. v. Michael Diamond, et al., No. 12-3529, S.D. N.Y.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 30645).
