Judge: Medicare’s Hospice Certification Regulations Create FCA Liability

Mealey's (March 10, 2016, 11:05 AM EST) -- CAMDEN, N.J. — Medicare hospice certification regulations are conditions of payment and subject a provider to False Claims Act (FCA) liability, a federal judge in New Jersey held Feb. 22 (Victoria Druding, et al. v. Care Alternatives Inc., No. 08-2126, D. N.J.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 21488).
