Tobacco Companies Ask D.C. Circuit To Reconsider Menthol Panel Ruling

Mealey's (March 9, 2016, 3:24 PM EST) -- WASHINGTON D.C. — Several tobacco companies on Feb. 26 asked the District of Columbia Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals to reconsider its opinion on a Food and Drug Administration panel that had three members with an alleged conflict of interest, claiming that the court’s finding that the companies did not show actual harm when they challenged members of the committee went against the court’s own precedent (Lorillard Inc., et al. v. United States Food and Drug Administration, et al., No. 14-5226, D.C. Cir.).
