Connecticut High Court: Casino Limo Driver Immune From Crash Claims

Mealey's (March 9, 2016, 11:19 AM EST) -- HARTFORD, Conn. — A Mohegan Sun Casino limousine driver cannot be held liable for injuries a couple suffered when his limo crashed into the back of their car on a highway because the Mohegan Tribe’s sovereign immunity extends to the limo driver, the Connecticut Supreme Court held in an opinion to be released March 15 (Brian Lewis, et al. v. William Clarke, et al., No. SC 19464, Conn. Sup.; 2016 Conn. LEXIS 50).
