Judge Cuts Several Yosemite Hantavirus Claims Against United States

(March 8, 2016, 12:08 PM EST) -- SAN FRANCISCO — A California federal judge on Feb. 26 granted in part and denied in part the federal government’s motion to dismiss claims in multidistrict litigation over the summer 2012 outbreak of hantavirus among visitors to Curry Village in Yosemite National Park that resulted in 10 confirmed cases, including at least three that were fatal (In re: Yosemite National Park Hantavirus Litigation, MDL No. 3:14-2532, N.D. Calif.; 2016 U.S. District LEXIS 24776).
