Fracking Company: Groups Should Not Be Intervenors In UIC Well Dispute

(March 7, 2016, 7:18 AM EST) -- PITTSBURGH — A hydraulic fracturing company that has challenged a Pennsylvania municipality’s ordinance prohibiting underground injection control (UIC) wells on Feb. 10 filed a brief in the Third Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals contending that two local environmental advocacy groups were improperly granted the right to intervene in the case (Pennsylvania General Energy Company LLC v. Grant Township, et al., No. 15-3770, 3rd Cir.).
