Seminole Tribe Seeks Certiorari For Florida Utility Tax Ruling
(March 3, 2016, 8:57 AM EST) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Seminole Tribe of Florida on Feb. 19 took its fight against the state’s utility tax to the U.S. Supreme Court, seeking review of an 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals ruling that the tax is directed at utility providers and not the tribe (Seminole Tribe of Florida v. Marshall Stranburg, No. 15-1064, U.S. Sup.; 2016 U.S. S. Ct. Briefs LEXIS 836).
