High Court Urged To Review Tribal Casino Labor Law Dispute

Mealey's (March 2, 2016, 2:02 PM EST) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Supreme Court should review a finding that federal labor laws govern work activities on Indian land because the circuit courts are “fractured” over whether the National Labor Relations Board has the authority to regulate tribal governments’ labor relations laws, a Michigan tribe tells the high court in a Feb. 12 petition for certiorari (Little River Band of Ottawa Indians Tribal Government v.
