Insurer Says Reinsurer’s Cited Cases Do Not Cover Same Facts At Issue In Appeal

(March 1, 2016, 7:07 AM EST) -- NEW YORK — An insurer tells the Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals in a Feb. 10 brief that the cases cited by its reinsurer do not address the specific facts and arguments at issue in the instant case challenging a lower court decision regarding the liability cap of certain facultative reinsurance certificates (Global Reinsurance of America v. Century Indemnity Company, No. 15-2164-cv, 2nd Cir.).
