Michigan Committee To Probe Flint Crisis; Petition To Recall Governor Approved

(February 29, 2016, 9:29 AM EST) -- LANSING, Mich. — The majority leader of the Michigan Senate and the speaker of the Michigan House of Representatives — both of whom are Republicans — on Feb. 23 announced that they have created a joint committee to investigate the lead water crisis in Flint, one day after the Michigan State Board of Canvassers approved a petition to recall Gov. Rick Snyder filed by residents who want him ousted for his role in the crisis.
