Rehabilitator: Insurer’s Assets Should Not Be Used To Pay Intervenors’ Fees

(February 25, 2016, 9:21 AM EST) -- HARRISBURG, Pa. — The rehabilitator of two insurers told a Pennsylvania court on Jan. 28 that the assets of the rehabilitation estate should not be used to pay the legal fees for certain intervenors in the proceeding (In Re: Penn Treaty Network America Insurance Company in Rehabilitation and In re: American Network Insurance Company in Rehabilitation, Nos. 1 PEN 2009 & 1 ANI 2009, Pa. Cmwlth.).
