Amtrak: 2nd Circuit Should Reject Insurers’ ‘Inconsistent Treatment’ Of Contracts

Mealey's (February 23, 2016, 1:10 PM EST) -- NEW YORK — Amtrak on Feb. 18 responded to its insurers’ opposition to its appeal for the Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals to reverse a lower court's ruling that limited it to no more than $125 million in insurance coverage for what it alleges is more than $1 billion in estimated Superstorm Sandy damage (National Railroad Passenger Corp. v. Arch Specialty Insurance Co., et al., No. 15-2358, 2nd Cir.).
