Texas High Court Lets Stand Ruling Invalidating State’s ‘Drought Rules’

(February 23, 2016, 12:20 PM EST) -- AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Supreme Court on Feb. 19 let stand an appellate ruling that the state’s “drought rules” are invalid (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality v. Texas Farm Bureau, et al., No. 15-359, Texas Sup.).

The state high court denied without comment a petition by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to review an April ruling by the 13th District Texas Court of Appeals.
