Federal Judge Declines To Strike ACA Benefits Defense In Auto-Accident Case
(February 22, 2016, 2:51 PM EST) -- AUSTIN, Texas — A federal judge in Texas on Feb. 18 declined to strike a defense claiming that a personal injury plaintiff failed to secure available Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) insurance (Daniel Sprester v. Bartholow Rental Co. and Lawrence Sowards, No. 14-955, W.D. Texas; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 19498).
