Some Claims, Defendants Dismissed From Anthem Data Breach Class Action

(February 22, 2016, 11:22 AM EST) -- SAN JOSE, Calif. — In a detailed 82-page ruling, a California federal judge on Feb. 14 granted in part motions to dismiss by Anthem Inc. and other insurers named as defendants in a consolidated class action over a 2015 breach of Anthem’s network, with the judge disposing of some state law claims and dismissing some of the defendants completely (In Re: Anthem Inc., Customer Data Security Breach Litigation, No. 5:15-cv-02617, N.D. Calif.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 18135).
