Viagra Skin Cancer MDL To Be Considered At March 31 Hearing

(February 19, 2016, 2:08 PM EST) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation (JPMDL) on Feb. 17 said it will hear arguments March 31 in favor of centralization of federal lawsuits alleging that the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra causes skin cancer (In Re: Viagra Products Liability Litigation, MDL Docket No. 2691, JPMDL).

Plaintiffs allege that Viagra, which is prescribed to treat erectile dysfunction, can cause melanoma. The plaintiffs’ motion to create an MDL is supported by defendant Pfizer Inc.
