Land-Preservation Groups Sue Washington County Over Comprehensive Plan

Mealey's (June 17, 2015, 1:02 PM EDT) -- OKANOGAN, Wash. — Two land-preservation groups on Jan. 9 sued a Washington county for violating state law by adopting a comprehensive plan and interim zoning and making an environmental determination that they say will adversely affect limited surface and groundwater supplies and create conditions for wildfires (Methow Valley Citizens’ Council, et al. v. Okanogan County, No. 15-2-00005-7, Wash. Super., Okanogan Co.).
