Laches Ruling Conflicts With U.S. Supreme Court Precedent, Patent Owner Says

(February 18, 2016, 2:50 PM EST) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Supreme Court should review an appellate court’s laches rule in patent cases, patent owners say in a Jan. 19 petition to the U.S. Supreme Court, arguing that the decision is at odds with Petrella v. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (134 S. Ct. 1962 [2014]) (SCA Hygiene Products Aktiebolag and SCA Personal Care, Inc. v. First Quality Baby Products, LLC, et al., No. 15-927, U.S. Sup.).
