City In Oklahoma Seeks To Avoid Posting Appeal Bond For $1.6M Water Judgment

(February 18, 2016, 2:35 PM EST) -- OKLAHOMA CITY — The City of Guthrie, Okla., on Feb. 16 asked a federal court to allow it to skip posting a bond while it appeals a $1.67 million judgment in a water service dispute with a neighboring water district (Rural Water Sewer and Solid Waste Management District No. 1, et al. v. City of Guthrie, et al., No. 05-786, W.D. Okla.).
